In the afternoon you will visit the small and charming town of Sa Dec.

After breakfast, we will board a sampan boat to Cai Be or Cai Rang floating market, the region’s busiest and most lively markets. Marvel at the sheer abundance of exotic fruits and vegetables. We will pull up to the boats for talking and bargaining with the merchants. Later in the morning your can boat through the green water landscape on a little rowing sampan to see local houses, verdant orchards and ship-building yards. Alternatively you can discover the nearby town by foot or explore the small side canals of the Mekong river on a bicycle.

We did the Three-Day-Trip on the Gecko Eyes (just the two of us). Boat: Neat and very clean. Comfortable cabin (just some more hooks for clothes etc. would be fine...). Organisation: From booking procedure in Germany to the drop off in Pnohm Phen perfect. Food on board: Very tasty asian food, great variety of meat, fish & vegetarian options. Prices for drinks acceptable. Crew: Polite, help- and cheerful.Full of interesting facts about the river and the people living there. Availeble at every time, but also leaving your privacy. Excursions: Nice trips (to markets and villages) and introductions in the life of Mekong people.

Picked up on time from our HCMC hotel, driven to Cai Be to start the cruise, welcomed onboard with a drink & smiles, less than 15 minutes to cast off & the adventure begins. Our single bedroomed boat was clean, neat, & tidy “Geko Eyes” Lee our guide / butler explained the itinerary & off on the north river we went, now 2 nights on board with breakfasts, lunches, & evening dinners, wine & beer options (extra cost) plenty of relaxation, everything tailored to our wishes & all expectations met & more. The room with ac was not overly luxurious but very ample (it’s a smallish boat) wet / shower room all functional & clean, toiletries all good, towels etc as well. What you see, the people you meet, the food & drink you sample are all top notch, yes it’s not cheap, but a once in a life time experience, just do it, you won’t regret it, if you are an English speaker, ask for LEE brilliant guide / butler. Would we do it again. In a flash..........

My wife and I stayed on the 1 cabin boat, so just us and 4 crew members for 3 days and nights. We had an AMAZING experience! The boat itself was so much fun to stay on and be a part of while seeing all of the local people, sights, villages, other boats, etc. We didn't spend much time in our room but it was very nice.....the top deck of the boat is where you'll want to spend most of your time! What really made our trip so memorable was the crew - particularly our guide Lee (Trung). Lee was exceptional. Via Lee, we were able to learn so much about the local people, life on and around the river, we met and spoke with many locals, ate great meals, and in general just had wonderful conversation - THANK YOU LEE!! .... the rest of the crew was also excellent and a fun group to be around. You cannot get these memories on your own and without great people like Lee and the crew! We'd highly recommend this experience.
